Based on the Parable of the Sower, Hallelujah Harvest is a gospel-teachin', fun-lovin' musical for children, rich with old-time country hymns and rootsy original songs. The Cornstalker family — Pop, Sweet, Candy and Field — follows the action, bringing scriptures to life for those who have “ears” to hear.
“Tasseltown” is the country setting for this early 1960s-styled period piece, starring the young farmer-boy Joshua, who is seeking workers for the harvest. His quest leads him to encounter the shallow roots at Rockette's Beauty Parlor, the hard hearts at Cardio's Concrete Slabs and Stumbling Blocks, and Aunt Rhody's Boarding House, where he meets the weary soul of Pastor Thornfield.
It will take a Spirit-led revival at the Heaven-bound Church and the rip-roaring sermon of world-famous evangelist Lettum Havitt to plow up the fallow ground of Tasseltown and bring in a Hallelujah Harvest.
